Ready To Govern

We’re launching our Ready To Govern again in February 2025! These are one-off trainings that are specific to one office. They are held virtually via Zoom on Tuesday evenings in February from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

This series is designed for members of advocacy groups, newly elected officials, future candidates, legislative staff and anyone interested in local governance.

Schedule and Content

Ready To Govern will cover how to serve in elected office, as well as the daily duties and responsibilities of an elected or appointed official for the following positions:

• February 4: County Commission

• February 11: City Council and Township Board

• February 18: School Board

• February 25: Legislative Staff
